Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for individuals through assistance with daily activities and fostering independence. This position requires a strong commitment to caring for others.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and meal preparation. Monitor and document patient behavior and progress according to care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance individuals' well-being. Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to guidelines. Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Engage individuals in recreational activities that promote social interaction and skill development. Observe and report any changes in individuals' conditions or behaviors to the appropriate personnel.

Experience

Previous experience in working in group homes or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Must be able to lift and assist clients as needed, demonstrating physical capability for the role. A patient demeanor and a genuine desire to help others are essential for success in this position.
