Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Parkinson's Care - Tues/Thurs - Paid Weekly

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Experience Required: 1 year minimum (Caregiving, DSP, CNA, or similar)

License/Certification: CPR and Driver's License (Required)

We're hiring a dependable Caregiver or Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an active, high-functioning 71-year-old gentleman living with Parkinson's and early dementia in Point Pleasant, NJ.

This is a long-term, relationship-based role supporting daily care, home upkeep, and structured routines. It's ideal for someone confident with light personal care, companionship, and household support.

Key Responsibilities

Light personal care, shower setup, and morning support Toileting assistance as needed Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch, prep dinner Transport client to Parkinson's boxing class (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) Light housekeeping: dishes, laundry, floors, general tidying Meaningful conversation and companionship Comfortable with small dogs in the home

The client is alert, communicative, and enjoys conversation, sports, fishing, and boxing. The family is kind, responsive, and values proactive, respectful care.

Requirements

Caregiving, DSP, HHA, or CNA experience Reliable transportation and valid driver's license CPR certification (or willing to obtain) Confidence supporting clients with Parkinson's or dementia Professional, communicative, and dependable Willing to consider occasional overnight or weekend help
