Locally founded and run nonprofit organization seeking energetic individuals who enjoy working with children with special needs! This position involves providing guidance in behavior choices by teaching social, self-help, academic, and living skills. The children participate in a variety of fun activities as well as practicing vocational, daily living and social skills. Entry level and Team Leader positions available! Those with experience in group home settings, working with individuals with special needs, and day programs are eligible for hire at increased pay rates and advanced positions.

Salary starts at $17.00/hr and increases with experience; Lots of room for advancement!

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY and PAID TRAINING TO RECEIVE NATIONAL CERTIFICATION FOR REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN AND CRISIS MANAGEMENT!

You will be an employee and not an independent contractor (1099). Therefore the agency pays social security, unemployment tax, and professional liability insurance. All employees (including part time) are eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities

Provide therapeutic care in the location scheduled in accordance with the policies and requirements of PlayDate as well as the service arrangements spelled out in the service plan. Responsibilities may include: + Engaging in play
+ Prompting social interactions
+ Assisting with community engagement
+ Preparing meals in accordance with dietary restrictions
+ Maintain trainings and necessary certifications
+ Data collection

Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED Successful background check Employees must be willing/able to transport children in personal vehicle


Experience:

* Special needs: 1 year (Preferred)
