Job Description
Seeking an experienced and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work with 3 year old girl in Beaverton needing help Wed-Fri 2:45-5:00 PM, with the possibility of adding Mondays. DSP should be reliable, communicative, and dependable. Client also has a sibling that DSP would need to be ok working with at the same time once they are comfortable. The client is slow to warm up to people, so DSP to be patient, give her space/time to get to know her, and don't force interaction. She is kind, caring and curious. She enjoys playing with her toys, walking to the park and trying new activities. She needs help with working on her communication skills, getting out into the community, assistance identifying her emotions, and continued potty training. There are no pets or smoking in the house.
Candidate Must have-
Valid Drivers License and Insurance Coverage
Unique communication skills requiring patience and understanding
Ability to provide occasional assistance in the restroom
Vigilant attention span as client is quick to wander

As a Kangaroo Caregiver, you will provide in home assistance with activities of daily living (ADL's) to support and maximize our client's quality of life. Kangaroo Care delivers the training and resources to give our caregivers top-quality skills in a meaningful work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help plan and assist in preparing some meals, including serving, if necessary Assist with dressing, grooming Assist in daily living activities and needs Participate in life enriching activities A caregiver may assist with medication reminders Complete required shift notes and scheduling via our caregiver app Maintain client confidentiality Record and report changes in client's physical condition, behavior, or appearance

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
