We are Clatsop County's primary community-based advocacy service for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Established in 1976, our services have evolved to include a 24-hour crisis line, a 24-hour Domestic and Sexual Assault Response Team (D/SART) which responds to calls from law enforcement and health care providers for in-person advocacy, a drop-in advocacy center, a confidential shelter, and wrap around services like support groups, legal support, and mental health services. Our team is here to support all survivors with strengths-based services that promote self-determination and hope.
Position: Direct Services Coordinator
Hours: 40 hours/week; Primarily weekdays, occasional evenings, and weekends, non-exempt position, some on-call shifts expected.
Reports to: Deputy Director
Location: Advocacy Center
Compensation: $26.00 per hour, generous paid time off; 11 paid holidays and 1 floating holiday, 100% employer paid health, vision and dental insurance for employees and minor dependents; FSA and HSA options, retirement plan options with 3% employer match after 1-year of employment.
Position Purpose:
The Direct Services Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of on-going day-to-day operations of the Harbor's Advocacy and Shelter Programs, including supporting Direct Service staff, ensuring quality assurance of services, accurate data recording, facilitating and/or scheduling training for staff, and providing trauma-informed, culturally appropriate services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and stalking.

Scope of Duties:
With support from the Deputy Director, support the domestic and sexual violence advocacy and shelter programs through direct service, assessment, training and development. The Direct Services Coordinator position is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day management of the Harbor's direct service provision.
General Responsibilities:
Support the day-to-day operations of the advocacy and shelter programs.
Coordinate direct service staff schedules, in cooperation with the rest of the leadership team, to ensure core services are adequately staffed.
Oversee database management and ensure client demographics and services are accurately entered. Utilize these statistics to create reports for the Board and grant funders as needed.
Oversee updates to resources and ensure Direct Service staff have up-to-date information about local resources. Incorporate trauma-informed information about what survivors may experience accessing a specific resource. Track the emergency services budget, including housing, motel, transportation, and general emergency services funding.
Monitor fixed assets, including company vehicles and emergency shelter building. Flag any maintenance needs to the Deputy Director.
Share the responsibility of facilitating morning huddles and direct service meetings.
Serve as a visible spokesperson and advocate for The Harbor's mission and programs in the community.
Maintain or initiate relationships with community partners to better facilitate wrap-around services for clients.
Other duties as assigned.
Staff Support & Training
Participate in the recruitment, interview and hiring process for Direct Service staff.
Ensure that all Direct Service staff have met the minimum requirements to work as Certified Advocates in the State of Oregon, and that they maintain certifications and stay up to date on training relevant to the services being provided (e.g. Crime Victim's Compensation and Address Confidentiality Program certifications etc.).
Ensure that all staff, volunteers and board understand and maintain advocate privilege and fosters services that are consistent with The Harbor's values
Provide trauma-informed basic advocacy training and manage on-going capacity building and feedback.
In collaboration with the leadership team, minimize the impacts of vicarious trauma through program policies and practices, debriefing with advocates, offering adequate training, creating a healthy and supportive work environment, and promoting regular self-care and community-care.
Take an equal share of on-call management shifts to provide support, problem solve and address challenges with on-call advocates.
Ensure back-up coverage for program staff as needed.
Program Development & Assessment
Provide input on budget, goals, policies, and protocols related to Direct Service staff and programming.
Oversee database and ensure clients, demographics and services are accurately entered. Utilize these statistics to create reports for the Board and grant funders as needed.
Implement quality assurance measures consistently and effectively. Ensure program evaluation on a regular basis.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum of one year working with survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to coordinate with many people with varying skills and abilities.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems and be proactive.
Ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks and handle a variety of projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience of training and supporting staff.
Strong computer technology skills, including Microsoft Office programs. Ability to learn new technology systems and implement within the scope of duties.
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in the social service field or equivalent work experience.
Two or more years in a leadership role in a similar field.
Bilingual and/or bicultural; fluent in Spanish ($1.00 differential pay).
