Monday-Friday is a split shift: Morning Shift is 6:30am-8:30am and Afternoon Shift is 1:30pm-3:30pm.

Saturday-Sunday: 4 Hours a Day to be Determined

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality caregiving services, ensuring the comfort and well-being of clients in a home or community setting. This role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those with diverse needs, including individuals with autism.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social interactions and overall well-being. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior. Support clients in participating in recreational activities and community engagement. Maintain a safe and clean environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Utilize first aid techniques when necessary and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or long-term care is preferred. Strong skills in assisting individuals with daily activities and providing patient care. Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial. Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus. Ability to cook nutritious meals that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions closely.
