Overview:
Responsible for planning, developing, organizing and directing the overall operations of the Safety, Security and External Transportation Department in accordance with hospital goals, objectives and mission
Responsibilities:
Keeps in confidence all matters related to the patient and/or hospital affairs.
Adheres to hospital and department standards and policies related to safety, infection control, and universal precautions.
Attends all mandatory educational programs required by JCAHO or other regulatory agencies as scheduled.
Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. degree in related subject and three (3) years administrative experience in security and safety programs.
Six years safety and security experience in a hospital setting of which 5 (five) years have been in a management capacity.
Experience may replace college requirement; in-depth knowledge of NFPA, OSHA, TJC, AHCA codes and regulations.
* In-depth knowledge of State, Federal and local codes and regulations; strong organization and communication (verbal and writing) skills.
