We are seeking a Dining Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our new dining room at RiverWalk Resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming dining experience. This role requires effective leadership skills, as you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of service.
Duties
Supervise daily dining room operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Train and develop staff in food handling, customer service, and operational procedures.
Manage dining room inventory control and ordering processes to maintain stock levels.
Assist with creating food & beverage specials.
Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food production and quality control.
Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new team members.
Assist restaurant owner with staff schedules and manage shift assignments to optimize service efficiency
Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance customer satisfaction
Monitor dining room ambiance, cleanliness, and overall presentation
Book groups and oversee functions as needed
Experience
Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management
Background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary experience is preferred
Experience in fine dining or casual dining settings is highly desirable
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Knowledge of budgeting, inventory control, and financial management within the food industry
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing the guest experience
Previous supervisory experience is essential; assistant manager experience is also beneficial
