Digital Fabrication Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager, experienced in digital fabrication, that is highly motivated, well organized and able to work in a fast paced environment while keeping quality and attention to detail as the top priority. If you have this experience along with a passion for architecture, art and design and enjoy solving unique millwork fabrication challenges you may be the right fit!

Background: Timbur is a growing Digital Fabrication company based in Keansburg, NJ. We fabricate custom projects (wood/foam) in collaboration with Architects, Artists and Designers.

Digital Fabrication Project Manager Responsibilities:

Sees projects from inception through completion by drawing, modeling, programming, and overseeing the execution of the work. The project Manager communicates effectively with clients and works cohesively with ownership and the fabrication staff to ensure meeting project specifications and deadlines.

Job Duties:

Communicates with clients to understand project goals and details Creates shop drawings and models Programs projects for CNC/robotic fabrication Visually and verbally communicates project strategy and process' to the fabrication team Tracks project execution and timeline Assists in estimating projects

Skills and Qualifications:

Architecture/Design education/background 2+ years programming experience in a CNC fabrication shop Experience working in a custom fabrication environment Experience programming and running 3 and 5 axis CNC machines Expert knowledge of Autodesk Fusion and the Machining Extension Package Expert knowledge of Rhinoceros 3d Working knowledge of Grasshopper for Rhinoceros Exposure to industrial robotics a plus Working knowledge of wood, plastic and foam fabrication details and construction methods Comfortable working off schedule periodically Able to read architectural drawings and perform take-offs Able to manage a project from contract award through installation Good client communication skills Able to effectively problem solve fabrication challenges Able to work with tight timelines Able to work as part of a team and independently

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
