Job Summary





The Digital Development Lead designs, develops and deliver digital learning for leadership and professional development courses for the Talent Management and Development Division within the Office of Employee Culture; provide consultation on digital learning development about these courses; and to plan/complete projects as assigned. The Digital Development Lead works with DHS leadership and staff to ensure that the digital learning series of course offerings are relevant, functional and of high quality. Responsibilities include:
  • Develop digital learning materials for blended and online learning, incorporating adult learning theories to facilitate learning retention and application to the workplace, to assist in building and enhancing a competent and skilled workforce ready to carry out the mission, vision, and goals of the Department.
  • Work in collaboration with DHS staff to ensure that all digital learning is delivered with high quality and a
  • positive user experience.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for digital learning activities.


Qualifications




Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of professional instructional design experience with adult learners in a large business organization demonstrating the following:
  • Development of criteria for determining appropriate training methodology for various learning and performance needs.
  • Application of modern principles with employee and staff development.
  • Design, development and delivery of classroom, virtual and technology-based training, and the management of this training.
***Bachelor\'s degree in Video Production, Business Administration, Communications or closely related field may substitute for 1 year of professional experience, Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Video Production, Business Administration, Communications or closely related field may substitute for 2 year of professional experience***

Preferred Qualifications

  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills sufficient to provide clear direction to others and information effectively and succinctly for management decision making.
  • Basic database design, search, query and reporting processes and the skills needed to navigate large complex data systems, and produce meaningful reports.
  • Analytic skills including problem definition, information gathering, interpretation and resolution.
