ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The creative-minded Digital Design Intern will produce digital editorial graphics for The Knot Editorial. This person should be well-versed in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically in Photoshop and have an artful eye. The designer must be able to adhere to our style guide and create under those parameters. The Digital Design Intern will build social graphics based on templates, to promote our on-site articles. Reporting to the Digital Designer, this position will always be open to new design opportunities and excited to develop their skill set.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct photo research to use in graphics from our Stock libraries
• Create graphics for on-site and social
• Partner with Editors on visual needs for upcoming articles
• Collaborate with the Social team to create graphics and templates
• Present innovative ideas on how we can strengthen our visuals to align with our brand identity and produce a collection of templates we can test
• Follow the Editorial Style Guide and Photo Sourcing and Crediting Guides to a tee

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

• Graphic Design experience using the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Experience working with editorial and an understanding of digital content
• Strong attention to detail and ability to creative problem solve
• Respect for editorial integrity and creative best practices
• Comfortable working independently, while able to collaborate with team members and be open to other perspectives
• Strong written and communication skills
• A passion for innovation, learning and pushing creative boundaries
