The campaign of a prominent elected official in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an experienced and creative Digital Content Creator to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity to contribute to our campaign and directly impact how we communicate with voters and the community.
Position Summary:
The Digital Content Creator will be responsible for brainstorming, producing, filming, and editing engaging digital content across various platforms to enhance the online presence and communication strategy of our campaign. This role requires a creative person with a keen understanding of digital trends, social media, and compelling storytelling. The ideal candidate will be able to translate complex policy initiatives into accessible and visually appealing content for a diverse audience, with help from our broader campaign team, as well as propose pop culture and lighter content. This is an in-person position, requiring regular presence in San Francisco.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive digital content strategy in alignment with the campaign's communication goals.
Create a wide range of digital content, including but not limited to:
Social media graphics and videos
Short-form video content for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok
Infographics and data visualizations
Photography and videography at events and community engagements
Manage and maintain the official's social media accounts, ensuring consistent posting and engagement, in collaboration with the elected official and broader campaign team.
Monitor digital trends and propose innovative content formats and strategies.
Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.
Track and analyze content performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
Assist in live-streaming events and virtual town halls.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in digital content creation, including graphic design, video editing, and social media management.
Proficiency with design software and other content creation tools.
Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their respective best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.
Political campaign or government experience is preferred but not required. A strong interest in local politics and public service is a plus.
