Overview
We are seeking a Digital Accessibility Specialist to support accessibility compliance across public-facing websites, intranet, and digital services. This role acts as a subject matter expert on digital accessibility, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure digital content and applications meet WCAG 2.1 A/AA and ADA Title II requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead accessibility audits of websites, applications, and digital content
Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 A/AA and ADA Title II standards
Advise teams on accessibility best practices, usability, and inclusive design
Maintain audit plans, reports, and digital asset inventories
Research and stay current on accessibility standards, tools, and legislation
Promote accessibility awareness across the organization
Required Experience:
Strong hands-on experience with digital accessibility standards and compliance
Experience conducting accessibility audits using tools such as WAVE, ARC Toolkit, Accessibility Insights, WebAIM
Experience testing with assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, ZoomText, Dragon)
Knowledge of ADA Title II, WCAG, and plain language standards
Excellent communication, documentation, and multitasking skills
Preferred:
W3C accessibility training or similar coursework
IAAP certifications (WAS, CPWA, ADS)
