Dietitian – Prn
Job Description
Performs dietitian services in accordance with professional standards including, but not limited to, assessing nutritional status of hospitalized patients; developing care plans for optimal nutritional status; and providing nutritional education for patients, families and Hospital employees.
Maintains awareness of applicable laws and/or regulations affecting the Dietary department and assures compliance. Promotes a positive, professional image of the department both internally and externally.
PRN - As Needed
Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
Licensure/certification: Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic
Registration and current license with the State of Iowa Code for Dietetic Practice required.
Certified Diabetes Educator credential or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
Previous Work Experience: Previous experience working in a hospital environment
preferred.
