Job Description

Be a part of a dynamic team in our Dietary/Cafeteria Department! Our Dietary Aides will:


Coordinate and participate in a variety of clerical activities involved in receiving and processing patient diet orders; write diets for assigned area under supervision of dietitian; operate a computer to receive and transmit diet orders. Visit on the phone with patients on routine modified diets to determine food preferences and assist in assessment of nutritional needs; make diet changes as required and order appropriate substitutes or additional food items when necessary. Verify routine and modified diets ordered against patient diet record; prepare patient meals according to diet.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.



Knowledge of nutrition required.



Food Handler's Card required.



Basic Life Support (BLS) required.



One year of experience in Dietary or related field required.
