DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Weston, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Completing repair activities on generators or components Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of service Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities. High Voltage / Low Voltage experience. Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision - hands on exposure to working on power generation products. Primarily engaged in preventative maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics on generators. Basic Diesel Engine experience. Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

Salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)


Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution


Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)


This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Minimal level of work shop experience required


Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience prefered


A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older A current valid license is required for this role Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
