Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Whippany, NJ
Job Type: Full Time with Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with development, operations, and other multi-functional teams to streamline the software delivery process.
  • Ensure successful deployment of applications through effective collaboration.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment and configuration management systems.
  • Use tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or others to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment of software releases.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient release process.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Enable consistent and repeatable provisioning and scaling of infrastructure.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions for proactive system performance tracking.
  • Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or others.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security standard methodologies in CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to deploy and manage applications.
  • Optimize cloud resource usage for cost efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Provide support to development teams in branching, merging, and conflict resolution.
  • Use scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby) to automate tasks and enhance the efficiency of the DevOps workflow.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to the deployment and operation of applications.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to diagnose and fix problems.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Docker Certified Associate) are a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in a DevOps or related role.
  • Background in software development, system administration, or both.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and others.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
  • Experience with setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure components and cloud services.
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform is desirable.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Analytical approach with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
