Job Summary

The DevOps Engineer will be part of the DevOps team focusing on designing, building and deploying AWS services through infrastructure-as-code and automation. The role will work closely with the DevOps Manager, IT Operations and Software Development team to enhance and maintain cloud and on-premise services for Servpro.

You Will
  • Assist in the architecture, design and implementation of the AWS cloud for Servpro
  • Implementation and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code that automates infrastructure provisioning to standup servers, install software and applications
  • Assist with the management of storage, compute efficiency, and optimization activities, including evaluating the configuration of compute size, storage solutions, and other services (network services, automation, and load balancing)
  • Assist with all BCP/DR (Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery) activities
  • Assist with development of cost optimization strategies
  • Create and enhance application and infrastructure monitoring
  • Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer to ensure the company Network and Infrastructure systems conform to company Security policies and procedures
  • Participate in the development and execution of the overall IS strategy
  • Analyze and resolve problems associated with standard operating procedures, workflow, and/or processes as required for architecture, requirements, design, development, implementation, support, and maintenance
  • Coordinate with Project Management to track and report all development activity in an accurate and clear manner
You Have
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience architecting, building and deploying cloud solutions using Amazon AWS platforms
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Deployment) principles, architecture and operations
  • Experience with cloud provisioning and management tools, such as Cloud Formation
  • Experience with continuous integration concepts and tools, such as Gitlab
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Puppet
  • Experience with provisioning software solutions using containerization technologies, such as Docker
  • Experience using IAM to create and manage AWS users and groups, and use permissions to allow and deny access to AWS resources
  • Developer background, coordinating with development teams and understanding deployment technologies
  • Strong experience in programmatically configuring services for cloud and on-premise deployments
  • Strong understanding of application and data security for cloud applications
  • Solid experience developing and maintaining an Amazon AWS based cloud solution using EC2, ELB, VPC, Glacier, API Gateway, IAM, CloudFormation, Fargate, SNS\\SQS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Elasticsearch and Gitlab.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft development environment
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in Information Technology
