Job Description

Position Overview



Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity Development Coordinator supports our fundraising operations. Working closely with the Director of Development, this position plays a vital role in executing fundraising campaigns, managing donor relationships, coordinating events, and ensuring smooth development operations.

Primary Responsibilities



Donor Relations & Database Management



Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the development database. Process and acknowledge all donations promptly with personalized thank-you letters and receipts. Generate donor reports, mailing lists, and tracking reports for campaigns and appeals. Manage donor correspondence and maintain communication schedules. Prepare donor briefings and research profiles for major gift prospects. Coordinate donor recognition and solicitation activities and maintain contact records.

Fundraising Support



Assist with planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and appeals. Coordinate direct mail campaigns from design through mailing. Support major gift cultivation activities and arrange donor meetings/site visits. Help identify and research prospective donors and funding opportunities. Track fundraising metrics and prepare progress reports. Assist Director/Manager of Marketing & Communications with online fundraising platforms and social media fundraising campaigns, as well as hardcopy marketing materials/handouts

Grant Administration



Maintain grant calendar and tracking system. Assist with grant research and prospect identification. Help prepare grant proposals and compile supporting materials. Track grant deadlines, requirements, and reporting schedules. Prepare grant reports and compile program data and impact stories.

Event Coordination



Support planning and execution of fundraising events (donor appreciation, annual gala, etc.). Coordinate event logistics including vendor management, RSVPs, and volunteer coordination. Manage event timelines, budgets, and supplies. Assist with sponsorship fulfillment and recognition. Prepare event materials and manage day-of-event support.

Communications & Marketing Support



Assist with development communications including newsletters, impact reports, and donor appeals. Coordinate collection and writing of donor impact stories. Maintain development calendar and coordinate with Director/Manager of Marketing & Communications. Support social media content related to fundraising and donor recognition, including using photos and content gathered at homeowner/construction events. Help maintain development section of website.

Administrative Support



Provide general administrative support to the Director of Development. Manage development office supplies, files, and systems. Schedule meetings and coordinate with development committee. Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting. Support special projects as assigned.

Qualifications



Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field 1-3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience with donor database systems or willingness to learn quickly Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities Commitment to Habitat for Humanity's mission and values Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events

Preferred:



Experience with Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, DonorPerfect, or similar donor databases Familiarity with online fundraising platforms (Classy, GiveGab, etc.) Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience with event planning and coordination Knowledge of fundraising best practices Understanding of Santa Fe community

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
