Job Description

The

Development Coordinator

is responsible for leading and supporting all aspects of the New Haven Pride Center's fundraising and resource development strategy. They play a vital role in sustaining and growing the Center's financial health through relationship-building, storytelling, special events, and strategic communication that aligns with our mission of supporting and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community across Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities



Support all aspects of

fundraising

, including grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and donor engagement. Identify, research, and pursue

grant opportunities

aligned with organizational goals;

draft

proposals, reports, and ensure compliance. Cultivate and

manage corporate sponsorships

and partnerships, including outreach, stewardship, special events, and donor recognition. Assist with individual

donor campaigns

, gift tracking, acknowledgments, and cultivation events. Maintain

accurate donor and funder records

, fundraising dashboards, and reporting systems. Collaborate with program, operations, and leadership teams to

align fundraising with organizational priorities

. Coordinate funder

meetings, site visits, and storytelling efforts

that highlight impact and uplift LGBTQ+ voices.

Skills & Qualifications



Strong

writing and communication skills

with the ability to craft compelling, equity-centered narratives. 2-4 years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development;

LGBTQ+ or social justice context is preferred

. Experience in corporate

fundraising, sponsorship development, or donor relations

. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a

fast-paced environment

. Familiarity with

nonprofit budgeting

, compliance, and CRM systems. Excellent organizational skills,

attention to detail

, and a collaborative working style. Commitment to the mission and values of the New Haven Pride Center, including

racial justice, gender equity, and LGBTQ+ liberation
