Development Coordinator to join our team
whose
primary responsibility
is to drive our fundraising and relationship-building efforts forward. This includes cultivating donor relationships, identifying corporate sponsorships, and working closely with the
Founder
and
Development Director
to execute fundraising strategies that directly support our mission.
In this vital role, you will coordinate a wide range of development activities, including event planning, donor engagement, grant proposal writing, and digital marketing campaigns.
Your energetic approach will help strengthen our organization's mission by fostering meaningful connections with supporters, managing databases, and executing strategic fundraising initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities
Fundraising & Donor Development (Primary Focus)
Drive all aspects of MoI's fundraising initiatives alongside the Founder and Development Director.
Identify new fundraising opportunities, such as donor prospects, corporate sponsorships, foundation support, and workplace giving.
Research and cultivate relationships with corporate leaders, community partners, and philanthropic organizations.
Help develop and oversee a donor pipeline to support annual donations, special campaigns, and major gifts.
Prepare donor communications, proposals, follow-up messages, and impact updates.
Donor Relations & Stewardship
Manage donor databases using CRM software such as Network for Good to track contributions, interactions, and engagement history
Develop compelling proposals and grant applications to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
Ensure timely thank-you letters, donor touch points, and stewardship updates.
Maintain accurate donor data, records, and giving histories in the CRM.
Support donor retention by coordinating individualized engagement and recognition efforts.
Cultivate relationships with donors, volunteers, partners, and community stakeholders through personalized communication and strategic outreach
Ability to research donor prospects and corporate sponsorship opportunities.
Familiarity with CRM software such as Network for Good, for data collection and relationship management
Events & Community Engagement
Plan and execute engaging fundraising events that align with organizational goals, ensuring smooth logistics and impactful experiences for attendees
Support planning and execution of fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and donor gatherings.
Assist with volunteer coordination and event logistics.
Represent Miracle of Innocence at community events, presentations, and outreach opportunities.
Demonstrate proven experience in event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit development with a strong understanding of nonprofit fundraising management principles.
Communications & Marketing
Coordinate email marketing campaigns using platforms like Network for Good to promote events, campaigns, and organizational updates.
Compose messages and relevant content, plan and execute, social media and digital marketing efforts to increase visibility and engagement across platforms, including other social media channels.
Draft fundraising emails, newsletters, appeals, and social media content that highlight the mission and impact of MoI.
Support development-related marketing materials, presentations, and website updates.
Ensure consistent messaging and storytelling across all platforms.
Administrative & Development Support
Highly organized with excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines using the latest Microsoft Office Suite and video technologies such as Zoom.
Work closely with the Founder and Development Director on development strategy, scheduling, briefings, and follow-up.
Track fundraising metrics, deadlines, and provide progress reports to management.
Qualifications
Passion for raising funds to support the mission of freeing the innocent.
Possesses strong management and organizational skills, business sense, and financial acumen.
Excellent communication skills, clear, persuasive, and mission-driven.
Highly experienced and comfortable operating in a sales and fund development role.
Previous nonprofit experience is not required, but it is helpful.
Excellent proposal writing skills, along with experience in grant proposal writing for various funding sources
Expert knowledge of digital marketing tools, including Hootsuite, Canva, and social media management platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Twitter
Strong negotiation skills to build partnerships and secure sponsorships or donations
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in budgeting and event management
Experience in research related to fundraising corporate strategies, estate planning (stock transfers, wills/trusts/estate law), or volunteer management is highly desirable
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster positive relationships across diverse audiences
A background in university or nonprofit experience is preferred but not required
