Position Purpose
The Development Coordinator is a key member of ENF's fundraising team, supporting both individual donors and national fundraising volunteers. Reporting to the Manager of Development and Events, this role assists in executing ENF's fundraising plan, managing volunteer resources, supporting donor stewardship efforts, and coordinating program and event logistics.
This position is ideal for a customer-focused problem solver who is thoughtful in communication, highly detail-oriented, and eager to grow skills in fundraising and donor relations.
Essential Responsibilities
Donor & Volunteer Engagement
Serve as the primary customer service contact for donors, volunteers, and prospects.
Greet and assist callers transferred from an automated phone system and respond to inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
Originate and manage all forms of professional communication and correspondence with donors and volunteers.
Development & Administrative Support
Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Manager of Development and Events.
Execute assigned development projects and manage routine administrative details for the department.
Support fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and program-related activities.
Volunteer Resources & Collaboration
Serve as the point person for volunteer resources, including request fulfillment, promotion, and instructional support.
Collaborate with internal departments on giving opportunities for major donors, supporting donor stewardship and cultivation efforts.
Data & Reporting
Perform data entry, data extraction, and routine database maintenance to support daily, weekly, and monthly departmental tasks.
Assist with gathering, summarizing, and organizing data for reports and fundraising analysis.
Education & Experience
Required
One or more years of related administrative, development, fundraising, or customer service experience.
Strong attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials.
Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including spelling and grammar.
Strong phone presence and professional demeanor.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions without direct supervision.
Preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) or similar donor databases is a plus.

Compensation:
$51,000-$57,000 (Based on Experience)
