The Developer, Front-End/Web Content collaborates with product/marketing teams and UI/UX designers to develop and deliver web pages, application experiences, and customized solutions across all of Brother\'s digital and app platforms for US and Latin America. This position has an active hands-on role working closely with our internal teams and agencies to deliver solutions, pairing them with the needs of the Business Unit and End User of our digital to create, customize and solve UI/UX capabilities. The Developer is the leading point of the creation of best-in-class custom and templated digital enhancements across all of Brother\'s Websites, Landing Pages, Apps, and more across the Brother US organization and Latin American groups as well.

Working closely alongside a team of UX/UI designers, Content Managers and SEO leaders, the Developer is the source for development work for Brother\'s digital experiences. The Developer works closely with IT development and release planning teams to test and schedule custom-coded solutions for monthly releases. Coding is done within our content management systems and either published directly or implemented with IT development teams for implementation into the site\'s codebase and scheduled accordingly.

Duties and Responsibilities

Content Management

  • Serve as a point of contact on the UX/UI team to work with our Business Units on content and information gathering, understanding the requirements to formulate the best-in-class customized solutions for our digital platforms
  • Construct and implement both templated and customized solutions for implementation on Brother\'s digital properties
  • Optimizes and troubleshoots solutions for the best user experience and solving for Business needs as they adjust and define their needs of these solutions to solve business cases
  • Collaborate with business units and UI/UX designers to help identify content needs in relation to optimizing our user experience across all digital properties for Brother
  • Facilitate, with IT development teams, deployment of production-ready content for templated and non-templated digital enhancements across Brother properties
Front End Development
  • Create effective, user centric custom components for Brother sites, apps, and digital properties.
  • Convert designs and test cross browser/device compatibility and inconsistencies
  • Provide insight and recommendations on how best to optimize design implementations for customized and templated components within our digital properties
  • Identify and resolve performance issues and bugs within components to help optimize user experience within Brothers family of digital platforms
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, create, and manage component project scopes
  • Stay current on trends and innovations within digital UX/UI for best practice and implementation
  • Drive optimization in component creation workflow and output, managing timelines and deliverables for all digital development projects
Business Partnership & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop search and content strategies that culminate into component development for optimal user digital experiences
  • Report on KPIs and Benchmarks of component performance to drive optimization
  • Work with internal and external teams and technical partners to develop digital components and drive implementation in a timely manner
Process Improvement & Optimization
  • Identify areas of improvement that lift efficiency in workflow, component performance and ensures deliverability of work out put in a timely manner
  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of search and development tools used to ensure best in class user experience across our digital properties
Education

Bachelor\'s Degree (or equivalent experience) Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar technical related field Required

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years Experience with content management systems (Rich Text (free-form HTML) Editor, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Sitecore or Salesforce (Preferred) Required
  • Minimum 3 years Coding or directing coding efforts on medium to large scale development projects Required
  • Minimum 3 years Experience with Sitecore or Salesforce Preferred
Software/Technical Skills
  • Skills with Sitecore, Salesforce or equivalent digital marketing platforms Advanced Required
  • Fluency in Component programming languages- HTML, JavaScript, etc Advanced Required
  • Familiar with Agile working methodologies and tools like Jira, Workfront or others Intermediate Preferred
  • Knowledge of development lifecycle best practices, including version control A/B testing, QA, build/release management, CI and Regression Intermediate Preferred
Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
  • Ability to pivot between development and deployment work based on needs Required
  • Ability to pivot between back end and front-end work based on needs and bandwidth of teams Required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to solve for complex digital solutions Required
  • Strong written and verbal skills for effectively communicating development solutions to cross functional teams (MS OFFICE Suite Proficient) Required
  • Ability to understand and distill Business Objectives into Development Solutions Required
This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.

  • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is per $90,000-$110,000 per year
  • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
