We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service while managing various IT tasks.
Duties
Provide technical support to end-users for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.
Troubleshoot software issues, including Microsoft Office applications and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
Manage computer hardware installations, configurations, and repairs.
Assist with network administration tasks including VPN setup, firewall configurations, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
Utilize tools such as SCCM for software deployment and management.
Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure components including DNS, Active Directory, and GPO.
Respond to help desk tickets using BMC Remedy or ServiceNow; prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
Conduct analysis of recurring problems to improve overall IT support processes.
Collaborate with team members on projects involving computer networking and LAN management.
Maintain documentation of technical procedures and user guides.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles.
Strong knowledge of computer management practices and IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with network administration concepts including TCP, DNS, LAN, and Meraki systems.
Proficiency in using help desk software such as Jira or ServiceNow for ticket management.
Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
