Up to $47.52/hour, dependent on skills and qualifications

JOB SUMMARY




The IT Desktop Engineering Operational Admin is responsible for supporting and enabling enterprise endpoint management solutions, primarily utilizing SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, and JAMF as the MDM for macOS and mobile devices. This role ensures secure, standardized, and efficient deployment, monitoring, and support of desktop infrastructure across the company, contributing to operational excellence and exceptional airport experiences.

External Business - Occasional contact with vendors.

Job Duties




Endpoint Management & Imaging

Deploy, build, and maintain standardized, secure images for Windows, macOS, and other platforms using SCCM/MECM and JAMF. Develop and maintain task sequences in SCCM for OS deployment, application packaging, and patching. Support Intune for compliance policies, light provisioning, and remediation scripting.

Operational Support & Incident Management

Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for endpoint, application, and hardware issues. Deploy predetermined solutions for customer requests Maintain systems patching, packaging, and asset management and maintenance of Endpoint Management Systems

Governance & Security

Apply and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and migrate to cloud-based CSP policies as needed. Ensure endpoint security, compliance, and alignment with client's IT and security standards. Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to maintain secure, resilient desktop environments.

Software Distribution & Monitoring

Enable and manage software deployment, patching, and updates using SCCM, Intune, and JAMF. Monitor desktop infrastructure to ensure system availability and performance. Architect and govern the software distribution platform for secure and efficient delivery.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles. Communicate platform changes and best practices to support and engineering teams.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Projects

Identify and implement process improvements to reduce complexity and incident volume. Participate in the design and operationalization of multiple IT projects in a fast-paced environment. Engage with third-party vendors for support, licensing, and maintenance renewals.

Minimum Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (preferred) or Associate's Degree with relevant experience. 3-5 years of experience in desktop engineering or endpoint management. Novice-level knowledge of SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, and JAMF Pro. Intermediate scripting skills (PowerShell preferred). Experience with Windows Autopilot, Apple Business Manager, Azure AD Join, and Hybrid Join. Demonstrated experience in incident management, platform governance, and cross-team collaboration. ServiceNow or ITSM tool experience.

Desirable Qualifications



Previous experience in aviation or public sector environments. Experience documenting user requirements. Knowledge of project management methodologies. Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate Experience migrating from on-premises to Intune co-management and Azure AD join.
