Holtec Decommissioning International (HDI) is currently seeking a

Designer/ Drafter

to join the Palisades Nuclear Plant team in

Covert, MI.

JOB SUMMARY

Designer/ Drafters are contributors to building and maintaining the design basis of the nuclear power plant. Drafters ensure configuration control and create products used through the organization to maintain and repair the plant.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates technical drawings or designs for equipment, structures, electronics, and processes. Coordinates with Engineering to ensure the accuracy and usability of plant design documents. Reads, interprets, and applies information from manufacturer's drawings, catalogs, and other information in creating design documents.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required of the position:

Required: High School Diploma or GED. Desired: Associate degree in technical design or computer-aided drafting

Minimum experience required of the position:

All experience levels considered. Nuclear Power Plant experience preferred.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position:

Must have demonstrated proficiency in drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, CAD tools, and engineering terms, including the use of materials, reference books and catalogs. Good to excellent communication skills. Experience / proficiency in PC use and applications, depending upon engineering level.

Any certificates, licenses, etc., required for the position:

CAD certification or similar training or experience desired.
