Job Description

Advanced Polymer Technology (APT) is a global provider of acrylic and polyurethane-based products. Our ISO-certified manufacturing facilities create protective coatings for concrete and asphalt; recreational coatings for sport courts, tracks and playgrounds.

We are seeking a hands-on, motivated individual to join our Development & Design (D&D) team. This role supports product development, lab testing, and production efficiency by assisting with mix preparation, testing, and general lab operations. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. The position also plays an active role in validating new formulations and conducting feasibility studies to support product innovation and process improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Support daily lab and production activities, including mix preparation, product testing, and data recording

Assist with formulation development, validation testing, and product improvement projects under the guidance of senior staff

Participate in feasibility studies to evaluate new materials, processes, and production methods

Maintain lab organization, safety, and equipment readiness to ensure continuous workflow

Accurately document results, observations, and adjustments in accordance with lab procedures and validation protocols

Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and R&D teams to communicate findings and support project advancement

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on lab/manufacturing experience)

2-5 years of experience in formulation, product development, or laboratory testing preferred

Working knowledge of chemical principles, lab practices, and data collection

Skilled in operating and troubleshooting analytical instruments and lab/testing equipment

Experience with validation procedures and/or feasibility assessments is a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong data management and documentation skills

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities

Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
