  • Creating a safe and efficient experience for customers by monitoring and coordinating transactions
  • Ensuring transactions and customer records are accurate
  • Providing day-to-day support to the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s retail team and customers

What will you be doing in this role?
  • Responding to customer telephone inquiries by answering and returning phone calls; clarifying customer requests; researching and locating appropriate responses; and replying to the customer with account, product or service information, explanation of procedures or re-direction of the call to the appropriate party
  • Logging calls and providing reports in the established system meeting appropriate timeframes
  • Performing duties as assigned related to the Bank\'s receipt, distribution and sending of mail, interoffice mail, and packages
  • Conducting transactions timely and accurately including but not limited to processing phone payments, taking and posting loan payments, quoting loan payoffs, preparing tickets and posting general ledger entries, generating reports, reconciling accounts, performing account maintenance, verifying documentation and data entry for accuracy, maintaining error logs and other logs as requested, and reporting operational problems
  • Processing wire transfers and assisting with the handling and processing of debit card disputes
  • Scanning/Indexing documentation following appropriate guidelines
  • Collaborating with the team to foster an effective environment that continuously improves processes, manages risks and assists co-workers as needed
Requirements:
What will you need?
  • High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum of six months customer service or call center experience or an appropriate combination of education and customer service experience required
  • Ability to define problems, request pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and offer viable responses
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of Bank products and services, delivery channels, account reconcilement processes, relevant banking regulations, and operational policies and procedures
  • Familiarity with bank core system operations and bank telephone system operations preferred
  • Ability to organize and set priorities for completing multiple tasks by set deadlines with minimal guidance. Ability to work in a high volume, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with ability to understand and carry out instructions, produce reports, organize information, speak clearly and effectively communicate information to customers, peers and management
  • Works well both independently and in collaboration with others
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, bank information systems, internet research and other PC-based applications. Types sufficiently to meet productivity demands
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours as needed
Physical/Environmental Demands
  • The environment is typical of an office atmosphere. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
