Position Description:





The Department Coordinator V will serve as a member of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Accreditation management team, responsible for Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) required institutional oversight of 102 total UL-sponsored GME programs. Duties are varied, ranging from routine to complex, and require working with a large number of people in the UL GME community in addition to the other members of the GME Accreditation team. This position will provide high level support to the GME Director and Accreditation Manager, and serve as the main contact for department inquiries.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As part of the Accreditation management team, manage activities and directives of the ACGME-mandated Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and its subcommittees (Accreditation, Resident Education/Work Environment, Quality and Patient Safety) and the Program Coordinator Leadership Council. Prepare and distribute reports/communications related to accreditation reviews, site visits and other ACGME regulatory activities. GME administrative services such as onboarding of new trainees and off-boarding of graduating trainees, using MedHub and other GME systems and processes. Manage GME schedules and communications to optimize coordination of meetings and events. Using MedHub, maintain trainee records. Receive and process training verification requests. Manage ACGME-required education agreements for all accredited programs, including: initiation of new agreements and renewal of existing agreements in accordance with ACGME requirements. Performs as the main contact and the "Face" of the Department.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in an office environment and have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to represent the GME Office with professionalism, discretion and sound judgement in all interactions. Experience in a GME or other higher education academic office. Experience with MedHub, New Innovations, or other residency management system is preferred, in addition to commitment to TAGME certification after hire. General knowledge of medical education and graduate medical education.

Target Compensation Minimum:





$24.13



Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
