We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Technician to join our clinical team. This individual plays a vital role in ensuring our patients and staff are provided with a safe and sanitary environment through the consistent maintenance of sterilization and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

oMaintain sterilization and infection control protocols for all dental instruments, handpieces, and equipment

oOperate, monitor, and maintain autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilization equipment in accordance with OSHA and CDC standards

oClean, disinfect, and prepare operatories for patient care

oInspect, package, and label instruments for specific procedures

oKeep accurate sterilization logs and records to ensure compliance with safety regulations

oMonitor inventory of sterilization supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions

oMaintain cleanliness and organization in the sterilization area, laboratory, and treatment rooms

oSupport dental assistants and hygienists in operatory turnover and setup for procedures

oParticipate in staff training sessions, safety meetings, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

oPrevious experience as a sterile or sterilization technician in a dental or medical setting preferred (training available for the right candidate)

oKnowledge of OSHA and CDC sterilization and infection control standards

oStrong attention to detail and organizational skills

oDependable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

oExcellent communication and teamwork skills

oHigh school diploma or equivalent required
