Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. This role offers an opportunity to work in a environment where your skills in patient care, and medical documentation are valued and essential for delivering quality dental services. Experience with EMR systems preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Duties

Assist dentists during exams and appointment types . Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to safety protocols. Record vital signs and medical history accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems Educate patients Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of all dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control guidelines. Assist with medical imaging procedures and document medical coding for billing purposes when necessary. Support the team with general administrative duties related to medical records management.

Qualifications

Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient confidentiality. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology Experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and other dental imaging technologies. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about treatments
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 34 per week
