Dental Assistant

to join our team.

Experience with front desk responsibilities is a strong plus, as this role includes cross-training to help support both clinical and administrative areas throughout the day.

- We will provide training for the right candidate who is enthusiastic, team-oriented, and excited to grow in a pediatric setting.

We're looking for a team member who will play a vital role in keeping our practice running smoothly while providing exceptional care to our patients and their families--one smile at a time.

Key Responsibilities

Manage patient scheduling, appointment confirmations, and follow-up communications to optimize patient flow and enhance satisfaction. Handle patient inquiries, registration, insurance verification, and billing with precision and attention to detail. Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and offering chairside support as needed. Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards. Collaborate with the dental team to facilitate treatment planning, financial arrangements, and insurance claims processing. Support administrative tasks such as inventory management, equipment maintenance, and overall office organization.

What We're Looking For

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to provide top-notch customer service. Experience in dental assisting, office coordination, or both (training is available for the right candidate with certain dental practice experience). Familiarity with EHR/ Practice Management Software systems, insurance billing, and dental procedures is a plus. A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for working with children and families.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in dental assisting preferred. Proven experience in dental office administration and/or dental assisting roles. Proficiency in dental practice management software. Effective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance billing practices. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. Dental Radiographer/Radiology- X-ray License (License/Certified in NJ)
