We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities



Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed. Take dental X-rays and operate intraoral scanners and other medical imaging equipment. Manage patient records using EMR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Obtain vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient care. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance using appropriate dental terminology. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and ensuring the clinic environment adheres to safety protocols. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting with billing or coding as needed.

Skills



Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient confidentiality. Experience in general dentistry procedures. License and skills to operate X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on four-handed dentistry for efficient workflow. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and vital signs monitoring. Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their treatments. Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred; certifications in dental assisting or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
