Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on comprehensive dental care. The position involves working closely with patients of all ages and supporting the doctor by assisting procedures, sterilization and imaging.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Take and develop dental X-rays while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Maintain infection control standards and proper sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines Operate dental imaging equipment like 3D scanners and handle medical documentation with precision

Experience

Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is highly preferred Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques is helpful Experience with X-ray procedures, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging is desirable Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding practices Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with diverse patient populations is a plus Certification in Dental Assisting or related training programs is preferred but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
