Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is highly valued. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental services while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation.

Duties



Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and medical imaging such as X-rays and 3D scans Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are met Take vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures Manage electronic health records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and medical coding standards Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments performed Assist in the administration of local anesthesia and other sedation techniques as permitted by licensing regulations Support pediatric dentistry procedures and adapt communication for pediatric patients Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols Collaborate with the dental team to optimize clinic workflow and patient experience

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting; experience with dental assisting is preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical documentation and coding is advantageous Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively; certification in radiography preferred Strong understanding of general dentistry procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and medical imaging techniques Excellent communication skills suitable for working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics Certification in CPR or BLS is desirable but not mandatory Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure while delivering compassionate patient care

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
