We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Duties



Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools while adhering to strict infection control protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting by providing support during procedures, managing dental materials, and maintaining a sterile environment through aseptic technique. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout treatments to ensure safety and well-being. Educate patients on dental procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care to promote overall oral health. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the front staff and maintaining organized medical chart documentation and records. Follow infection control guidelines meticulously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe clinical environment for patients and staff. Assist with general dentistry procedures as well as specialized areas like endodontics, prosthodontics, and surgical dentistry to provide comprehensive care. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry, and current best practices in infection control and aseptic techniques.

Qualifications



Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Experience with digital X-ray technology including 3D scanners; certification preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy relevant to dentistry, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry as well as specialized fields like endodontics or prosthodontics. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about their treatments and oral health habits. Ability to work collaboratively within a team using four-handed dentistry techniques for optimal efficiency.
