Seaman Family Dentistry is a private practice in Lenexa, KS caring for the vast dental needs of patients, children through elderly, in a family friendly environment.

Our family dental practice in Lenexa, KS is looking for an outstanding dental assistant or someone who is ready to train to become an amazing dental assistant and preferably is bilingual (English/Spanish). In addition, we need someone who will fit in with our team, must be a good communicator, friendly, outgoing, confident, professional, and enjoys being part of a productive, patient care focused team! We have a fun team and need to bring in someone who loves what they do as much as we do!

Duties:

Assisting the dentist during procedures.

Handling patient notes, charting, digital x-rays, lab cases, call-in for services, and patient education for services being performed, home-care instruction, and future dental needs.

Room set up and sterilization and infection control procedures.

Inventory of supplies.

Training any new assistants and dental assisting externs.

Maintaining OSHA requirements (shared with other patient care staff).

Equipment maintenance and general cleaning duties (shared with other patient care staff).

Salary is negotiable depending on length and type of dental assisting experience or if you are new to the dental field, applying to become a dental assistant trainee. We are a general practice which also provides implants, orthodontics and cosmetic services.

This position will also have monthly bonus potential after 3 months on the job for experienced candidates or 3 months after the completion of trainee for inexperienced candidates.
We work with patients Monday-Thursday, here is our schedule and we need someone who can work all of these hours. There is a one hour lunch each day:

Mondays: 8:45am - 8:00pm

Tuesdays: 9:45am - 6:00pm

Wednesdays: 7:45am - 6:00pm

Thursdays: 6:45am - 5:00pm

No Fridays or weekends

Benefits include medical insurance, HSA, paid vacation time, allowance for scrubs and jackets, certain paid holidays, and monthly bonus potential. Some of these benefits have waiting periods. We will discuss our protocols for COVID during the interview.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
