Responsibilities



Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic technique and infection control standards. Take digital X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment; ensure proper documentation and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records efficiently within electronic medical record (EMR) systems in Dentrix. ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology accurately, preparing materials, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for smooth workflow. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation for patients requiring special care or pediatric dentistry services. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient communications to enhance the overall patient experience.

Experience



Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry is preferred. Familiarity with EMR system Dentrix, is highly desirable for seamless record management. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Experience with medical terminology, medical coding, and handling medical records enhances your ability to support comprehensive patient care. Prior exposure to specialized areas like prosthodontics or endodontics will be considered an asset. Pay: $23.36 - $28.14 per hour
