Duties



Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and safety measures are followed. Manage electronic medical records Eaglesoft for accurate documentation of patient histories, treatment plans. Perform chairside assisting with aseptic techniques, vital signs measurement, and anatomy knowledge to support safe and effective patient care. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control standards and sterilization procedures. Support the dental reception area by scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and managing medical documentation efficiently. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing wellness. Collaborate with the team using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency during procedures. Monitor medical records for accuracy and completeness while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a friendly environment that eases patient anxiety. Keep up-to-date with advancements in dental technology such as 3D scanners and new clinical techniques to continually improve service quality.

Experience



Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Hands-on experience with dental assisting tasks including chairside support, X-ray taking, and infection control practices. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy related to oral structures, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information. Experience supporting pediatric patients within a dental setting is highly desirable. Certification or training in infection control protocols and aseptic technique preferred.
