Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, along with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, as well as perform medical imaging when necessary. Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Dentrix Ascend for patient records management and scheduling. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to manage appointments and patient flow efficiently. Assist with oral surgery, endodontics, and other specialized dental procedures as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with Dentrix is highly desirable. Experience with 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
