Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our dynamic dental team. This position requires proficiency in dental terminology, and familiarity with Opendental software.

Duties

Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Manage patient records and medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct preliminary assessments by taking vital signs and gathering medical history from patients. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary, supporting advanced dental procedures. Provide chairside support for various specialties including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the team. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus, along with experience in chairside assisting techniques. Ability to perform medical imaging tasks competently, including X-ray procedures. Understanding of infection control measures and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe working environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, ensuring comfort and trust during visits.
