Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred, along with a solid understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. This full-time position offers an engaging environment where you can grow your skills in general dentistry and specialized procedures.

Duties



Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Take and record vital signs and medical history for patients Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic technique Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations Manage medical documentation, records, and coding within EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Support infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures when necessary Maintain accurate dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to support clinical accuracy Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed

Experience



Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, medical imaging, and infection control practices Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Experience with pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or general dentistry is a plus Certification or training in X-ray safety and medical coding is beneficial Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
