Dental Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and ensure that patients receive high-quality care. This position requires proficiency in dental procedures, patient management, and the use of dental technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during dental procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments for patient care. Take and develop dental X-rays as per the dentist's instructions. Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Perform dental laboratory tasks, including pouring and trimming models. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment to maintain infection control standards. Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and X-ray safety in dentistry. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements. Ability to accurately document patient information and manage treatment plans. Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Experience using Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software. Understanding of proper sterilization techniques for dental instruments and equipment.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
