Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical records, and the ability to perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to health and safety regulations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct patient intake, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary, ensuring precision in dental assessments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up visits to ensure optimal patient flow. Support the overall organization of the dental office, maintaining cleanliness and order.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and medical documentation practices. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Ability to operate dental equipment, including intra oral scanners. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Certification in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory. Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
