Perform energy efficiency economic evaluations and support associated regulatory requirements.
Implement the company's strategic initiatives in designing and integrating load flexibility programs.
Design and develop dispatchable distributed energy resource (DER) and demand response (DR) programs for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
Partner with operating companies' customer solutions, programs, planning and operations teams on program design and implementation.
Develop and enhance integration of DER into our operations and planning process to ensure accurate reflection of system value for program offerings across operating companies, customer classes, technologies, and program parameters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
BS or higher is required. Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other analytical fields is preferred.
Experience
1-2 years' work experience in a utility or other professional business setting is desired
Experience in one or more of the following functional areas is desired:
+ System/Resource Planning
+ Economic/Financial Analysis
+ Power Delivery
+ Demand Side Planning (marketing, pricing & planning, etc.)
+ Generation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of System Planning & Power Operations is desired
Knowledge of marginal cost analysis and theory is desired
Understanding of the utility industry and business model is desired
Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to create/build is desired
Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to understand, break down, and analyze complex problems is required
Effective coordination and communication across functions and work locations is required
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills are required

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct energy efficiency economic evaluations
Support all regulatory requirements associated with energy efficiency program analysis
Develop modeling, analysis, and program design for DERs and Demand Response programs
Integrate new DER into our operations and planning process and ensure program viability, working with key stakeholders
Represent load flexibility topics to system-wide audiences
Interface with Power Delivery, Transmission Planning, and Generation Operations on deployment of DER assets
Develop and assist with regulatory filings such as data requests and witness preparations
Provide support to other teams within Load Flexibility and Economics team on an as-needed basis
Be a trusted partner with clients, peers, and stakeholders
