Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, experience with commercial driving, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving. The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation for dependability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles to transport goods across designated routes Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment Ensure accurate and timely delivery of packages to customers or warehouses Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and pickups Assist with warehouse organization and inventory management as needed Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries Follow all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and vehicle operation procedures Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks with manual transmission Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus Knowledge of safety standards related to driving and material handling Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route planning tools Physical stamina for extended periods of driving and manual labor tasks
