Job Title: Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate Department: Jotto/Avoca/MC/SMT Reports To: Production Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary/Objective: The Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver is responsible for receipt, storage, loading/unloading, delivery, and inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment from one location to another. They are responsible for ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders/materials are correct. They are responsible for operating company vehicles in a safe manner and communicating with the appropriate department if maintenance on vehicle is needed. This position will also be used as a floating position across all APC brands to help production and warehouse personnel as time allows. Must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and clean driving record. Must have forklift experience. Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for transporting orders, materials, and supplies to designated sites in an efficient, timely, and courteous manner.
  • Required to help load/unload delivery vehicles ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
  • Ensures delivery vehicle receives basic maintenance service (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.). Responsible for reporting larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
  • Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.
  • Ensures that all inbound/outbound paperwork is maintained and delivered to the proper departments.
  • Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
  • Receives stock and non-stock items ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct and/or inspecting items for damage.
  • Responds to inquiries from staff and vendors by providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries, and/or reporting discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Required to assists other personnel in the completion of their work activities, when not out making deliveries.
  • Must adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, APC safety protocols, as well as any safety protocols set up by vendor or job sites visited.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration from the tools and some noise from the pneumatic tools. Forklift traffic. Heat level is high in the summer months. Personal Protective Equipment required in some positions such as safety glasses and/or gloves. Hearing protection is provided but not required.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull, and grip. Must be able to pass a physical fitness for duty test that assesses ability to lift varying weight essential to job function. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 to 2:30 or 7:00 to 3:30. Occasionally overtime is required, and the employee must be able to work earlier than scheduled, later than scheduled, and/or on Saturdays. Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of related experience preferred
