What you'll do

Safely operate a box truck to deliver goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic regulations. Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring that items are handled with care to prevent damage. Engage with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Navigate assigned routes effectively, optimizing delivery times while maintaining safety standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for loading and unloading tasks when necessary. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route completed. Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dispatch of deliveries.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is essential. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. Experience operating box trucks; knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required by the job duties. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in loading and unloading shipments. Experience using forklifts or pallet jacks is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
