Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, with opportunities to work with different types of delivery vehicles including box trucks and cargo vans. Prior delivery driver experience and familiarity with warehouse operations are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and commercial trucks to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling of products. Deliver packages and goods accurately according to route schedules, maintaining efficiency and timeliness. Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries. Verify delivery orders, obtain signatures when required, and document delivery details accurately. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of delivery vehicles. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or route maps, adjusting as necessary for traffic or road conditions. Assist in warehouse operations when not on the road, including moving inventory or assisting with loading dock activities.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services preferred; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is a plus. Strong knowledge of driving laws and safety regulations. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds or more regularly. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow route schedules precisely. Basic navigation skills using GPS devices or route planning tools. Physical stamina to handle long periods of driving, loading/unloading, and moving items throughout the day.
