Job Description

Summary:

Deliver product to customers in a safe, timely manner. Assist with the daily maintenance of store, vehicles and products in accordance with detailed instructions.

Essential Functions:

- Deliver perishable and non-perishable goods by truck in a safe, timely and friendly manner.

A. Check invoices when loading trucks to be sure all orders are loaded on the correct vehicle number of pieces.

B. Complete daily delivery manifest form and turn in upon delivery completion.

C. Adjust load throughout the day to avoid damage to flowers or merchandise from load shift.

- Properly accounts for invoice and monies upon return from delivery.

A. Complete customer credit request forms and give to proper person as designated by the branch manager. 100% responsible for all monies until they are turned in and signed off by your supervisor

B. Driver Collects, Payments on Account, and cash or checks must be turned immediately upon return to the wholesale house. 100% responsible for all monies until they are turned in and signed off by your supervisor.

C. Obtain legible signatures - IN INK - on all copies of charge invoices and UNPAID (COD) Driver Collect invoices.

- Properly unpack, cut and condition fresh flowers.

- Pull and or pack customer orders.

- Clean inside store. Mop, sweep, vacuum, and dust and empty trash. Clean bathroom and break room fixtures.

- Maintain delivery vehicle inside and out.

A. Checks oil, water and tires daily prior to starting the engine.

B. Clean and sweep the can and bed of the vehicle prior to clocking out at the end of day.

C. Wash vehicle as needed. no less than once a week.

- Pick up shipments of perishable or non-perishable goods. Unload incoming shipments.

- Price merchandise, stock shelves.

- Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.

- Any other duties as directed by Supervisory personnel.
